Open water environments—such as rivers, lakes, and coastal areas—require specialized rescue skills due to their unpredictable and often challenging conditions. Our Outdoor Aquatic Rescue Awards are designed to provide learners with the essential training and recognition needed to respond confidently and effectively in aquatic emergencies outside controlled pool settings.
These awards focus on key competencies, including water safety awareness, dynamic risk assessment, self-rescue techniques, casualty recovery, use of rescue equipment, CPR, and first aid for aquatic incidents. Learners also develop vital personal attributes such as situational awareness, teamwork, leadership, and decision-making under pressure.
